It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
The girls have really gotten into the Great Pumpkin from Charlie Brown. My Father introduced them to it last year and this year it really took off. Yesterday morning they spent hours repeating scenes from the show (thankfully no "Blockhead" comments yet). Then they started writing to the Great Pumpkin and telling me that he "flies through the air with a bag of toys for all the boys and girls". Thanks Dad, like I don't have enough on my plate with Santa coming in a couple months.
They really got into these "letters" (it's especially cute b/c Kayla can write her name now) and they wanted to put them in the mailbox. Today, I was able to find some old 2 cent stamps and let them use those. It was really cute how excited they were to "mail" their letters. Now I'm really excited to write to Santa.
Alysa writing her letter...
Putting their names for the "return address"
Putting their stamps on
So proud of their letters

That is sooooo friggen adorable! Look how happy they are. These pics are going to be great for them to look back on and just smile...
Waaaaaiiiit a minute! You can’t hang this on me. The GREAT PUMPKIN that I know Riiiiiiiises up out of the pumpkin patch! Who ever said that he "flies through the air with a bag of toys for all the boys and girls". You can just ask Linus. This is the corrupting influence of Santa. (Well, OK. Maybe he does lug around a bag of toys.)
AAAAHHHH, maybe I’m a little bit responsible for the invasion of the GREAT PUMPKIN into your humble abode. Come to think of it, if my Kayla and Alysa want to say he flies through the air, so be it! Who is an old BLOCKHEAD like me to say otherwise. In fact, seeing how serious they are about their letters…and how excited they are about mailing them…I should just admit to being fully responsible. Yes, I take full credit for the rise of the GREAT PUMPKIN at the Kuster household!
Now, it’s time to rename Halloween.
HAPPY GREAT PUMPKIN DAY everyone!
DAD
that is just adorable! What a good mom you are!
That's too cute...
How sweet! We haven't watched it yet this year, but now I feel like we should!
This is very cute.. my boys love the whole peanuts collection and watch the Thanksgiving one all the time. They want to know why we can't have popcorn and jelly beans for dinner! They immediately caught on to the whole blockhead and stupid thing and ask EVERY time if that is a bad word!
