Kayla
Kayla, my oldest. She is 4 1/2 and is a sweet, loving and silly little girl. She took us 2 ½ years and 3 IVF’s to conceive. Kayla is allergic to dairy. We manage her allergy and work to balance her safety with giving her a normal childhood. Kayla loves to read books and play games - she amazes me every day.

Alysa
Alysa, my youngest. She is 3 years old and is a silly little spitfire. She’s our monkey and loves to climb on everything. She was a “natural” baby, but it was only b/c of my wonderful doctors that we were able to stop an impending miscarriage. Alysa suffers from Acid Reflux Disease and sleep apnea. She may be little, but she has a big personality. She adores her big sister and is so much fun to be around. She keeps me laughing every day.

MIA
Sorry I haven't been around. Last week I was mentally preparing/obsessing over Kayla's skin test which was this past Saturday. I was quite the nervous wreck. Rightly so, as she failed it miserably, so now we must wait another 6 months for her next test. I'm not too confident she'll even outgrow it, but that's this week. This week I've been all out of sorts left over from her test, plus we now have to explore Alysa possibly having asthma or just an asthmatic cough or some other type of chronic cough (possibly from her reflux). Plus putting Alysa on an evil drug to help her esophagus muscle spasms.

J changed jobs Sunday which is causing a whole bunch of doctor rotation/insurance nightmares, so I have not been able to muster up the energy to type.

Hopefully next week will bring better moods for me since my Sis and her family will be visiting and it's Thanksgiving. Not to mention I can't wait until Thanksgiving Weekend so I can decorate my house. :)

Please bear with me as I sort through all the stuff I'm trying to organize and fix. I will be trying to muster up more energy to catch up a bit this week and next.

I hope everyone is doing well.
:)

Good to see you're back.
I am sorry, you didn't get the results your were hoping for with Kayla. That chronic cough has been going around, my kids haven't been the only ones, and it seems they are much better now, but it's been since the weekend before Halloween, so we're going on two weeks now. Ah, I hope your girls start feeling better soon, and you too can have a short break and get some rest.
And I know how you feel about Insurance companies. It gives me a headache just to think about it.

Take care,
Christine

I was just going to e-mail you today to see how things were going. Judging by this post, not as good as you'd hoped. I'm so sorry about the skin test. I was so hoping that she'd pass.
And I'm praying that Alysa doesn't have asthma.
I hope things get better soon!

sorry to hear about the skin test; I'm sure that must have been disappointing to get those results :( also sorry you're now dealing w/something going on w/Alysa, hope you get some answers soon on that - and in the middle of an insurance change - I can't imagine the nightmare that must be!
