Busy Weekend
Well, we're all back to our normal routine. We're all still healthy - which amazes me. It feels so great. :) I know it can't last forever, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
Today, I am having some friends over for our Annual White Elephant Party. For those of you who have not heard of it, here is the gist...
Tomorrow, it will be a day of recouperating and cleaning. I'm busy this morning with food preparations and finishing up the last of the cleaning and of course, keeping up with the playroom and toys. Ha!
Speaking of which, I should get back to it... I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Today, I am having some friends over for our Annual White Elephant Party. For those of you who have not heard of it, here is the gist...
- The White Elephant Party is typically held after Christmas.
- Every person involved brings a present.
- Technically it is supposed to be something you received for Christmas but that is not always the case. The gift should be something you do not like and do not want. Say a hideous gift from your “favorite” relative.
- The present must be wrapped and put under the tree, (if it is still up)
- Everyone picks a number (1 through however many are there). The person with number 1 will go first. They will have the choice of picking any present under the tree that they want. They then open it. The second person has a choice, take the present the first person has or choose one from under the tree. If they choose to take what person number 1 has, then person number one picks a new present from under the tree. This continues down the line until the last person goes. They then have the option of taking a present that anyone has or taking the last one left under the tree.
Tomorrow, it will be a day of recouperating and cleaning. I'm busy this morning with food preparations and finishing up the last of the cleaning and of course, keeping up with the playroom and toys. Ha!
Speaking of which, I should get back to it... I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sounds like a fun party! I'd like to contribute my "Smokeless Tabletop Grill" given to us as a Christmas present by my MIL Jason's first Christmas. It sits on the counter and cooks small pieces of meat and veggies using an open flame (yea, that's safe). We've never used it. Hope someone likes it:)
Ooooh, I have something I'd bring! I got a hideous ring from my inlaws. I don't even wear any jewelry but my wedding and engagement rings anyway, but this wouldn't be on my list if I did!! Luckily they never visit so they wouldn't miss having it on my hand to admire.
