Calm Week
Amazingly it's been a pretty calm week. With the tree gone, we have all been healthy. And even more shocking, both girls have eaten pretty well this past week. Yes, I know it's unheard of. Now my fingers are crossed that with the allergy under control, that Alysa will actually gain some weight. I won’t hold my breath though.
The girls have had a good week. They have been enjoying their new toys. But with these, has come more fighting, which means more headaches for me. I try to balance sharing and alone play time as best I can. Kayla likes her toys “neat” and lined up, where Alysa’s face lights up when she sees Kayla’s neat piles, as she heads over, arms waving just so she can mess it all up. It’s quite comical actually.
We have no big plans for tonight. Put the kids in bed, watch a movie and indulge in some Doritos, potato chips and real onion dip. Yes, I know, this will cause me quite a bit of anxiety and a lot of work. But sometimes, we need the real stuff. So, we will cover the couches and floor completely, indulge and clean up extra good when we are done. We don’t do this often, but I’ve been craving this. What better time to be “bad” than b4 the New Year kicks in. Then I can start off 2007 the right way.
Tomorrow, we will get to have a family day. Our plan is to take the girls to the local Children’s Museum in the morning. With them being “sick”, it’s been a while. And Alysa is at that great age, where she will actually be able to participate really well now. She’s such a climber. Then in the afternoon, after all of our naps, my parents are coming down and we are heading out to dinner to P.F. Chang’s. It’s the one restaurant I have let Kayla eat at. So it’s our restaurant of choice right now.
Like I said, it’s been quiet around here. I plan on posting my New Year’s Resolutions tomorrow sometime. I have to give it a bit more thought, as I’m not making any I know I can’t keep. :)

Have a wonderful New Years Eve! Enjoy your onion dip. You deserve it. Also, enjoy Changs! I wish we could take Jason somewhere. We'll try PF Changs when he gets a little older. Right now, he won't eat anything on the menu (but I LOVE it). Happiest of New Years to you and your family:)
