Thursday, the light went up outside, Friday Kayla and I decorated inside, Friday night the tree went up and Saturday night we put the ornaments on the tree. Ever since, all I hear from Kayla…”Is it Christmas Day yet???” I keep telling her she’ll know b/c there will be a lot of presents under the tree. I tell her it’s Christmas TIME, not yet Christmas DAY! It’s not working. I’m hoping the countdown calendar will help her. She’s already not sleeping from all the excitement. Last night at 11pm (she had not yet fallen asleep), I got the “Is it Christmas Day yet?”. It may be driving me a little crazy, but I’m finding it SO adorable and exciting. This is the first year where she really gets it from the start. She REMEMBERS and she feels the magic of it.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but get caught up in all the excitement. Christmas is my favorite holiday anyway, but with kids it’s even better. I can not wait to see the looks on their faces this year after they see what Santa brought them. I just can’t help but get caught up in all of Kayla’s excitement. So since I can’t beat her, I might as well join her….
