The Thermostat War
No, I do not mean between J and I. Alysa’s newest “thing” is that she wants her thermostat “at two fives.” And she means it.
Friday morning when she woke up early (considering how late she fell asleep the night before), her hands and feet were like icycles. She had turned her heat down before she fell asleep [we have electric baseboard heat so each room has it's own thermostat]. And yes it was set at “two fives” and it was indeed around 55 degrees in her room. The picture above was taken later in the day, the 3rd time she changed it, so it was still warm in the room at that time.
So Friday night, J taped her dial (it does not come off). When she saw it, she ran over to it and said, “Oh, I need take that off.” I stopped her and so far she’s left it on, but it’s only a matter of time…

Eli messes with our thermostat ALL THE TIME. The other night we woke up freezing because he had turned it off at dinnertime.
haha -- after meeting your kids for the first time this past weekend, I just have to say this is too cute!! they are funny!
Oh my goodness that is too funny! Ours is too high for the kids to reach, but I have a feeling our second daughter will figure a way in the next few years.
