The other side of Alysa
Alysa is a happy, smiley, silly girl. She is very loving and affectionate. Everyone at Kayla's school comments that she is always smiling. But there is another side to my upbeat, adorable, almost-3 year old. She is feisty and she has a temper, boy-oh-boy does she have a temper!
The other day, I had to put her in time out. She went on and on kicking and crying and yelling. Like any good mother, I caught the tail end of it on video. This did not make her any happier... She was pretty ticked about the camera.
I've included a translation for you as well...
Cue fake crying...
"No, I don't want to smile."
"I don't want to smile."
"I don't want to smile."
"I don't want to!"
"So let me out!"
"I don't want you to take me a picture."
"So let me out."
She's so photogenic when she's mad!

Jason screams bloody murder and you'd swear someone was killing him. He kicks and fake cries (but with tears. He'll win an oscar some day) and screams a high pitch scream that sends dogs running. I HATE time out. And I think I've been lax with it because of his behavior. I saw your timer in the video and I haven't been using a timer that he can see. Maybe that will help him. I'll try it.
She's fiesty, but she's so darn cute!
She sure wasn't happy, but she was still adorable! I loved the "so let me out" phrase :)
