The Toy Boxes
So my sister called me up a few months ago and said that Jason (her hubby, my BIL) has gotten into woodworking recently. And he had the great idea to build my girls a dress-up trunk for Christmas. In the end, he built Alysa a toy box for her room (Kayla already had one) and built them both a dress-up trunk. My sister (the artist in the family) decorated them. We were able to pick them up when we went out for Thanksgiving. They are beautiful. It will really be special for them to have something made specifically for them and by someone who loves them. Here are a couple pictures of them.

Now, as I see them all perfect and shiny, I almost hate for the girls to use them. I know they'll get all scratched and nicked. But I also know that that is what Jason intended. In a world where families are spread out and family is not always what it should be - I feel very fortunate that my girls have an uncle that loves thems as much as he does and more specifically that he has shown them by giving them something so special and from the heart. Now if we could all live in the same state!

Those are just beautiful! How talented your sister and brother in law are to make something so wonderful. I'm sure the girls love them and will get a lot of use out of them:)
