Happy New Year
It's been a bit crazy this week. I've been trying to get settled and find homes for a million new toys that crept into this house over Christmas. I got hit with a cold that knocked me flat. With my cold I had to work overtime at work for year-end inventory, which is never fun! Tonight we are having friends over - it's our first time doing something since before Kayla. The girls will be having a mini sleep-over.

We have it within our power to control our lives. That power is reason. External events that are beyond our capacity of volition can come along, yes. But they are the exception. Understanding that, for each of us, the values we choose, the choices we make and the ideas we accept are the primary determinant of the course of our lives is key to making 2009 a good year.

Mike & I are having major issues trying to figure out what to do with all our gifts, and they aren't even toys... :-(
